Really wanted a 3 mile time trial today but no sitter, so I was off the Y with Vanessa in the kidzone and had a date with the dreadmill. I did decide, finally, to knock of some cobwebs and see if my legs could still turn. 3 miles 8:34 pace, 3 miles 6:35 pace, then hopped off the mill and cooled down 2 miles on the indoor track. I was able to relax into the fast miles without much strain, which was a pleasant surprise. A sense of fatigue, yes, but aerobically easy. I bet my ferritin levels are rising and I think with a few more pounds off I am going to start feeling better about racing really soon. It was a happy running day. |
