Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

8:32 average.  Legs still lingering sore but after a few miles warm up felt good as new, kept it easy but did a test sprint the last .1 and everything felt good.  I think I will do some tempo work tomorrow per my new marathon training schedule but will probably due it on a treadmill to minimize the impact on my foot which is still a little sore on top.  The treadmill also serves to keep me from falling off pace.  hopefully by next week by foot will be 100% and I will do the tempo work on the road.

Glad you're feeling good and ready to get on with the marathon training! Foot is bothering you from shoe issues, right? Have you been taking anything?

Great 10 miles April!

Tracy--I think I tied a shoe too tight and it gave me some tendonitis on the top of my foot. Hurts if I squeeze the foot from the side and if any shoes is not tied loosely. Running and walking don't hurt, especially if I am barefoot and nothing touches it. Impact doesn't hurt, but it seems more comfortable on softer surfaces over time. I don't think it's a stress fracture, I had one in that foot many years ago and it swelled up and I couldn't bear weight at all.

Gee April, what is it with you and feet?

From seeaprilrun on Wed, Jan 20, 2010 at 11:04:08 from 68.103.250.39

Tell me about it Eric, it is always my stinkin' feet. I need a hardier pair.
