Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

am:  attempt 3 bicycle.  nope.  45 minutes seated stepper, and then the knee began to bark so went and did weights and abs for 40 minutes

afternoon:  so there is a barely noticeable hitch in my gait when I walk, and when going uphill it disappears.  My ortho DID say weightbearing as tolerated....so, I got on my home mill and set a conservative 4mph, 5 minutes flat, than 5 minutes each at 8%, 9%, 10%, 11%, and 12%.  kept my steps light and quick to minimize impact--no pain.  I feel like I was being a bad patient but there was no pain!!  If there are no repercussions from the knee tomorrow then you betcha I will do more of that!!!

my friend pulled through the night, they are warming him up from a medically induced hypothermia all day today and then we wait for him to wake up.  they said don't expect anything until Monday.

Just catching up on things. My goodness, your little old life is complicated.

Stay in bed for a week - don't go anywhere or do anything. Hang on, you might fall out of bed and break something - no, don't stay in bed.

Carry on as normal - I doubt there's anything on this little rock that could stop you: you're Superwoman! Now, go save the world and then drop in for a bout of Fight Club!

On a serious note, hope your friend pulls through and everything's ok. Fingers crossed.

Wow, great news on the exercise. Sounds like the news on your friend is hopeful too, let's hope so.

Keeping your friend in my thoughts.

Yes for some pain free exercise!! Here's hoping for even more this week. Take it slow and listen to your body (unless it tells you to fall out of bed the way Bam's is want to do :-) )
