Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

I 'm borrowing a minivan I can get in and out of and drive.  yay!  Went to the downtown Y and had a nice 60 minute core workout.  The Shadow helped me out with handing me medicine balls, weights, etc...I see ortho tomorrow.  The wound on my calf is ummm aggressive they are going to have to do something about that soon.  Cultured it today.

I just read back to find out what is going on!! I can't believe it! So glad that things are not more serious! I love your attitude about it. You are a fighter, I have no doubt you'll heal quick.

good luck at the ortho tomorrow - sounds like the news from the MRI wasn't too terrible? I wouldn't really know, i guess.

Anyway, hope everything keeps improving (especially the "agressive" one...that doesn't sound good). Thanks for the updates.

I went to the discussion board to research what people are saying about stress fractures. I found your post and looked up your training and races. I can't express to you how impressed I am with all the water jogging workouts and swims you put in!! You really have a lot of heart, and that's so cool. I'm so sorry you are faced with yet another injury, but from what I've read and the race times you posted post injury back in 2011 I think this will just fuel you even more. Nice job keeping at it today with the core work. As a fellow injured runner, you are inspiring me!!
