aw man this run was brutal.  I felt terrible, and I was running (again) on the treadmill in Jenny's basement.  the workout was 15min easy 4x 5min hard 2min easy 15min cooldown.  I ended up running 58 minutes and change covering 9miles in all.... the low down.  I felt awful, but the goals was to run hard and make it hurt.  I was successful in that aspect.  I did not back off when it was really really hard... even if the times don't show it.

Warm up 15 min. 2.15 miles

set 1: pace 5:36

set 2: pace 5:36 (ran upstairs... GI issues... no success)

set 3: pace 5:33

set 4: pace 5:27 (this one was tough.  I wan't sure I was going to still be "clean" at the end)

ran upstairs... SUCCESS! Jenny's house smelled really bad, I was embarassed, but hey every runner's been there right!  When I came back down the treadmil had shut itself off... dangit

Cool down 16ish minutes. (some of it was after set 4) 2.38 miles.

You are an animal Annie! Good job upping the pace, especially with GI issues. It's great you got it done, even though you were feeling gross. You are such an inspiration to us!

Thanks michelle.... I just had the NEATEST THING HAPPEN TO ME! One of my running friends (whom I haven't seen in months) called out of the blue and told me of a very vivid dream he had with me in it. It had left him with the overwhelming urge to tell me about it. HEre's the dream:

we were at a the start of a race talking and wishing eachother good luck. He said, "okay annie, I'm going to go ahead to the line." but I wanted to stay and stretch. He looked back at me and saw two very tall angels standing with me. But they were dressed as soldiers in camo. One was looking ahead of me, and the other was looking behind me. He said they were definitely protecting me. That he had this feeling that they were there to ensure that my future.

He didn't know that I lost my job two weeks ago, or that my training has taken my family into scary unchartered waters. Like I said I havent seen or talked to him in months.

WOW
