6.23 @ 37:22 (5:59 pace)

My warm up mile was 6:15 (a lot of it was down hill)

This was a fartlek.  5 on 3 off X 2 (these miles were 5:50 and 5:40 respectively)

2 on 1 off X 3 (I wasn't near mile markers for these)

My cooldown was slower I think again no markers.

This run was great.  It built some confidence, and allowed me to see just how much work I have ahead of me, and it's a lot!  I need to do a lot more tempo runs and fartleks this winter.  I have the gift of speed, but I have to work hard at those continuous runs.  I was able to maitain focus for this whole run which is nice!  I've been out of practice in that arena so it was good to accomplish that again!

4.5 miles in the afternoon.  I pushed Cooper in the Stroller on the trail.  He ate candy and told me about his Halloween parade at school.  He was runner.  actually he was Frank Shorter, he just didn't know it.  I let him wear my Bix 7# with Erin MOeller's e-mail address on it.  I'm thankful he didn't lose it!

Welcome to the blog! I love your picture--just look at all those big guys trying to keep up with you. Awesome!

I'm really impressed with your sub 6 pace on for 6 miles, too! Can't wait to read your race reports.

thanks Lybi. I can't wait to race! I've always run with "the guys".

First - Great to have you on the blog!

Second - How in the world do you finish a half marathon with a broken pelvis? You've got to have one of the highest pain thresholds!

Let us just say i prayed furiously the last two miles, and went to my happy place. I didn't walk for three days. My husband had to carry me if I had to go anywhere.

And yet I begged for an epi. with my 2nd son!

Wow...thanks for posting about yourself. So glad you are injury free with such a desire to accomplish and run...I can just imagine the type of toddler you were....phew..makes me tired just thinking about it. How old are your kids?

Welcome to the blog Annie! You will be an inspiration to all of us. Where to you live now?

Sarah, you nailed that one! My mom says I was a better mother to her than her own mom. Plus I tried to "kill" my sister several times (I'm 2 years older). But actually I was very sick so my energy level wasn't what it should've been.

Oh and thanks for the compliments on the picture. It's the only recent one I have of myself running!
