54:41 ran VERY easy this morning.  I felt like a million bucks!  I ran alone.  My hips were recovered from pushing the Willem.  I had felt a little yucky yesterday but the scratchy throat is gone.  It's hard to take my days off, but I'm always glad I've done it!

Just over 4 Tonight.  Cooper ran to and from the club house with me!  I ran the rest on the treadmill and we watched "Wishbone" together!

I agree, I think it takes more disapline to take a day off than to just run.

It does. I started doing this in College and it's a huge help for me. It's not for everyone though!

For a serious runner with focus, yes, it does take more discipline. However, if this was true for every runner, I would not have compiled the Top Ten Excuses for Missing a Run at the link at the top of this page. All of them collected from this blog.

I do believe in running 6 days a week, though, and for me the day off is Sunday. This has to do with the teachings of the LDS church to avoid heavy exercise on the Sabbath. At first the idea was difficult for me to accept, but I began to do it anyway when I understood the religious principle. Then overtime it began to make sense as I saw the results.
