My legs were very tired at the beginning of the run.  I think that I am going to start cutting back in preparation for Park City.  I was only planning on a 1 week taper but my legs have felt trashed for quite a while and I think that I need to give them a break so I am fresh going in to the meat of the Grand Slam.  The scenery was a lot better than usual this morning.

Hey Andy! This is Michelle Nelson (you unlocked my, or tried, the morning of the Wasatch Back). I've been reading your blog a bit and thought I'd drop a note and say hi. You are awesome and good luck with the Park City Marathon.

I meant to say you unlocked my car.

I think you are smart to give your legs a little break while going through the grand slam! I'm excited to see you at St. George with your Grand Slam medal around your neck! Good luck and take care of yourself!

Are you doing the full marathon? Yeah, more rest can be good if you're feeling trashed.

Good job on getting out there and running. Do take it easy now man. You will want to go into the race well rested. And you will hold your position in the slam.

Keep up the good work.

Michelle - Good to see you on the blog. I still haven't gotten over the old guy comment you made on the way to the start. Sometimes reality is hard to deal with.

You know I was kidding. Well, actually you might not have known that since we had just met. I have a very sarcastic sense of humor.
