My legs felt especially tight this morning. Part way through the run I stopped to stretch out my hamstrings and couldn't even bend over. I really need to get into a stretching routine.

Have you heard of dynamic stretches or mobility exercises? They mimic the way your muscles and connective tissues actually stretch during running.
