I had another one of those "I really don't want to run" mornings.  I usually run a little harder on Wednesday mornings but decided to take it easy since there was little motivation.  Felt pretty yucky and slow throughout the run but glad I got it in.

Have a great Thanksgiving. I've been a bit busy (and hurt) so not posting much, but I miss these friendships.

Did you get to sleep in or do you have to work today?

From Andy on Wed, Nov 25, 2009 at 13:03:53 from 199.190.170.28

No sleeping in for me. I worked from home the past 2 days so I could stay with Emma so I had to get into the office today.

Hopefully your pep will be back tomorrow for you 10K. Have a great Thanksgiving.

I'm running the 5k with my son which shouldn't require any pep. I am going to try to get in some miles before the race.

Very cool. How old is he? Are you going to stay with him and pace him?

From Andy on Wed, Nov 25, 2009 at 15:06:55 from 199.190.170.29

He is 13 but not really a runner. They run everyday in PE so he wanted to give it a shot. We are going to run together and will just go as fast as he wants. I have promised myself not to push him and just have fun.

Well hopefully your son will catch the runners bug. And be running with you a bit more.

Hey Andy ... what Turkey Trot are you running? My kids have been BEGGING me to take them to one. Not sure if it is too late to register someplace. Was hoping I could find a little local one someplace but no such luck.

The race is at the South Davis Rec Center in Bountiful. We signed up the day of the race last year. They have a 5k, 10k and kids k. My girls are running the kids k. Isn't there one in Draper (the human race)?

From Teena on Wed, Nov 25, 2009 at 17:46:36 from 174.52.45.85

There is one in Draper and one in Cottonwood Heights.

My 7 year old thinks she is big enough not to have mommy right by her side ... so ... I was hoping to find something on a smaller scale. Plus, I'm not sure if she is ready for the hills that are at Cottonwood Heights and want her to have a great experience for her first.

From Andy on Wed, Nov 25, 2009 at 20:23:17 from 198.60.114.178

My 13 year old doesn't think he is too big for his daddy to be by his side (at least I hope he doesn't).

From Teena on Wed, Nov 25, 2009 at 21:08:18 from 174.52.45.85

I will tell her that! Maybe it will help her change her mind ... I have tried to convince my 12 year old to let me run a race with-with her for two years ... she doesn't want me either ... STINK!!! My 10 year old boy, nonetheless, has let me run one with him!!! What's up with girls?? :)

I'm half leaning towards just inviting a bunch of family and friends to come and run a make-shift one on the JRP.

Who knows. I'm running out of time though!!! :)
