Typical post race heavy legs. A little extra soreness in my ankles and achilles tendons but that is normal for me.  Just took it easy today.  The goal for the week is to get out every day to start building the habit of running again.

I am being pressured into running the Salt Lake half next month.  Is it a good idea knowing that I am not in as good of shape as I would like to be?  Maybe I will try using races to get into shape this year.  I have never really tried that.

You are a very seasoned runner. Using shorter distance races as tune up and motivation to get back in shape is an excellent idea...especially if Becky is running them as well! Double incentives! :):):)

No worries about not in as good of shape as you'd like to be heading into SL Half. You know your body well. You know when to push and when to back off. You are good at creating your own training plans. You may actually like this approach!

I NEED races to to keep me motivated. If I'm not signed up for a race, I don't train as hard and I miss way too many runs.
