Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Loops around Sugarhouse. I found Emily after 20 minutes or so and we ran together. Lots of sprinkler dodging!

I have officially gone a week without any candy! However, I do not consider semi-sweet chocolate chips to be candy :o)

PM - Strength training for 35 min. Then elliptical for 25 minutes. My back is feeling better...

I don't consider the snickers I just ate 5 minutes ago to be candy, either! :-)

Chocolate and candy are not the same.

Hey Andrea. Not sure what your daily schedule is like, but I was wondering if you might like to meet my girls cross country team from Alta High for a run sometime this Summer? We meet 4 days/week (M-Th) at 8am. This includes a Wednesday run at Alta Ski Area and a Thursday run at Sugarhouse Park. They are a really great group of kids.

We keep bags of chocolate chips in our freezer and I'm known to eat half a bag. Usually around 10 pm. Not good!

You should see MY freezer - at least 5 cartons of ice cream at all times! I'm never giving that up.

Rob - I would love to run with the girls CC team. Sugarhouse is very convenient to where I live. Also, I work at BD Medical down in Sandy so the high school is only a couple miles away. I could go into work a little later once a week or so. Does the team run at the school Mon and Tues?

That's great. We run in the Dimple Dell Gully on Monday. Do you know where the 24 Hour Fitness is on 13th East? We meet in the horse trailer parking lot right next to that. Tuesday we meet in Draper Park. The idea behing all this is to avoid the concrete jungle that surrounds our school. Sugarhouse is the site of the state meet.

Saw your dog sitting comment too. They sold us a sick dog - he has pneumonia! Got some antibiotics and we're taking good care of him but he's being really pathetic. You can tell that he's an absolute sweetheart though. Hope it works out.

Okay, I'll plan to meet up with the team at Sugarhouse this Thursday. Where's the meeting spot?

Poor dog - I hope that Summit feels better!

I don't know if I could abstain from candy for a week. You have an iron will.
