I was so proud of myself this day.  I wanted to show my friend Joe that I was no wussie, cuz I told him I wanted to run to Waimea and he said he didn't think I could handle it.  So I just went without him and only stopped a couple times.  It wasn't even as bad as I thought it would be.  I found it is really nice just running and running and running... and getting farther and farther... it is a really good feeling.  There were a lot of straightaways that I thought would never end but they did and it was always a good feeling getting to the next town or beach.  The run from Laie to Waimea was about 14 miles.  I took the bus home and ran home from the bus stop.  Total running time 2:10.  Don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't do something!!

Tell Golden that James Barnes said Hi, we have been friends for years. BYU Hawaii would be a great place to run, you are pretty lucky...must be those teeth! Are you from St. George since you know Ruthie?

Great job, that had to feel good. I remember going on a long run when I was younger and hating it, but your scenery and good attitude are definitely the difference.

I love your picture! You need to explain it to us. How awesome to be in Hawaii for school!
