Running Accomplishments:

I was a much better runner in my 20's and 30's.  When I was 52 I had a 28.5 5K and a 58.5 10K, and I would like to surpass those times.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Run a 1/2 marathon.  I would actually love to run a full marathon, but am not sure if my body would break down with injuries training for one.  Update fall 2010: still no 1/2 marathon, but I did run all the way up city creek and back home (14 miles)  - absolutely gorgeous!!

Personal:

My name is Adele Kimbrough - I'm 58 and have been running (off and on) since I was 16.  My body is not well designed for speed, and I'm a bit arthritic, but I'm having fun trying to figure out just how fast I can be.  And this blog helps!

Outside run to capital and back.  Not a hard pace, but not super slow either.  I'm satisfied with just running since I'm still battling this cold, and I'm croupy and sneezing a lot. 

Absolutely GORGEOUS running conditions outside this morning - not too cold, and crystal clear skies!

Darn, I was hoping you were better. This cold seriously lingers forever, I am still stuffy and snotty and sneezy off and on, but the worst days are behind me! Take care, have a great weekend, and rest up!

Thanks, Kelli. I'm disappointed because today is long run Saturday, and I didn't go running today because my cold seems a lot worse, and moved down into my chest (hurts to cough!). I'm sure it will be better in a couple days, though, and since I ran easy last week my legs feel very energetic, like I've been tapering. I'm hoping to fly on my next run!!!

You will fly! Take the time to get better, it will be worth it. I think that is why I am still sick....
