A couple of wins in small local races. 

I have always been an active person and need to do something physical everyday or I don't feel right. 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Mile: 4:40

5k: 16 min (track or honest course)

10k: 33 min

1/2 Marathon: 1:13

Steadily increase my mileage to 60-70 miles a week.

 

Long-Term Running Goals:

Eventually run a marathon.

Run for health and sanity.

4.2 miles before heading into work

Kind of discouraged that my shin isn't fully healed yet, looks like I'll be doing more cross training this week and some short easy runs. It's good to be back! I was going through blog withdrawals.

45 minutes moderate on stationary bike before bed

Did a few 1 minute harder surges during the ride

Easy run before work.  4.2 miles total, picked it up for .35 at the end

Jog before bed, 5K loop, didn't plan on running it hard but I felt good after mile one then still had some demons after mile two.

Went 7:00, 6:15, 6:00 (1.1) for a 19:15 5K. Was happy with the effort, the second mile felt fairly easy which is pretty cool cause a year ago it would have been a bit of a grind. Can't wait for the right shin to heal, I have some discomfort in my right foot too. Sorry for the whining. Cooled down for .5

Got a HR monitor yesterday and it was fun to use it on my run today.  Ran 6 easy miles then did two .5 pickups with .5 recovery between each. Did 45 minutes on stationary bike after.
