Little fartlek on the treadmill. Surgery went well. Jing's (my wife) heart rate dropped from a 110 average for the last 6 months to 84 the morning after surgery. Thyroids are scary things.

ACorn,

Hi. Glad to hear surgery went well. Needed to do a little research yesterday on the diagnosis. Hope she has a quick recovery. Please tell Jing I said hello and say hi to Mom as well. Hope she is still running and walking and cooking!! A while back she mentioned wanting to do a 5K with the family (think I remember reading that) - you guys still thinking about that? Talk to you soon. Be Well.

Go Jing! Hi PRE.

Good to hear everything went well.

My wife had hyperthyroidism one time. They got rid of hers, too. It is scary stuff, but becomes a normal part of life if it's managed good. My wife's dosage of the medication she takes daily has changed a few times. Seems like she should almost go in and get it tested more often than they recommend.

I'd never heard of the thyrodism stuff but it turns out it's pretty common. Kind of like if you were to buy a yellow car and then start noticing them everywhere (after today, Sasha's got me thinking of everything in pointless analogies.......)

Matt,

Thanks for the comment. This thyroid problem has definitely been a learning experience, I appreciate the empathy.

I couldn't help myself from commenting on the religion thread. It's a topic that I ponder often but I'm not too articulate. Writing some of those responses was beneficial for me though I doubt anyone else got much out of it :)

I got a renewed strengthening of my testimony. So, thanks for that.
