Running mixed with some strength training.

Did 5 miles on the Cottonwood High football field mixed with lunges, burpees, medicine ball throws and kettlebell exercises. Pretty tiring, took about 45 minutes.

Followed by an abbreviated track session on tired legs.  Did 2x400 with 100 meter walk in between followed by 2x200 meters.

Averaged 77 seconds for the 400s, goal 5k pace and 32 seconds on the 200s.  Felt good today.

That looks like an intense six mile workout!

Great job.

Looks like you're coming back strong. I think it's safe to say you'll be beating Jake pretty soon.

Jake is a beast and routinely triples my mileage. Thanks for the thought though, I'm happy to even be compared.

Oh, I was talking about Jake Krung. Not Jake Krong.

Yeah I think I can take Krung fairly easily.

Who is this Jake Krung? And more importantly - how's the track at Cottonwood HS? Any snow/ice that I could hurt myself on? I want to get off the roads for a workout this week, but the Highland track has a 30m stretch on the back turn that could be deadly!

I think he's related to Joe Mantegna, best tackler I've seen since Bobby Boucher.

Jake,

The track at Cottonwood High was dry on Sunday. It's well marked too. I plan on using it quite a bit in February.

As far as Krung goes, he's literally a nobody.

Nice workout.
