Run 1:

Ran after work, plan was to do 5 miles with a 2 mile tempo in the middle.  Well, at about .8 miles in to the tempo, a guy turning right failed to see me and I ended up pushing off the front of his car as he hit the brakes.  I've noticed that lots of drivers look left but not right before turning right.  I ended up jogging out the mile as I was too frazzled to finish.  I barely broke 6 minutes for the mile. Ended up jogging easy for the last miles and ended with 5 miles.

Run 2:

Was pretty upset about not getting in my full tempo and decided to go out after dinner.  I found a nice flat out and back course, .5 out and back for a total of a mile.  Warmed up for 2 miles and got straight into it.  Ran 2:41 out and 2:36 back for a 5:17 mile.  That made me feel a little better about my failed attempt from earlier.  Jogged 2 more miles and called it a day.

Feeling good for Leopards 5K?

ACorn,

I am looking forward to the Leopards Report. More than any other report, I am looking forward to that report! I very much want to see you break 16:40.

Jake,

By the way, thank you. I purchased the 110. Instrumental in my making the decision were the remarks from ACorn, you and Allie. And it is a much better watch than the 305. I love looking at and contending with three variables...distance, time and pace. Really, how much more is needed when one is running?

Jake,

I'm feeling pretty decent for the Running of the Leopards, minor aches and pains but nothing that's bugging me much.

PRE,

Thanks for the enthusiasm. I'm hoping to break 16:40 and will definitely put up all the fight I can muster.
