My new garmin arrived, I got the 110 and it seems to be great.  I like how it shows my average pace on the current mile.  Simple but all I need, thanks Jake for the recommendation.

8 - 6 at 6:50 average pace - 5:40

6 more miles before bed at 7:25 ave. pace

Beautiful night and full moon

Rest day tomorrow, playing golf with my dad and bros.

If you go into the (super simple) menu - you can change the default splits to 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 mile... so if for instance you wanted to run hot/cold quarters on the road, it will do that automatically.

I am leaning toward the 110 or 210 myself. Like the look. I did not use a lot of the 305 features. I could do the math like Jake to figure out overall pace. Big question - and maybe you cannot answer it now as you just started using it...does it have an audible alert when you complete the splits? The 305 did for a while...but something about the 305 causes the speaker to get corroded and my 305 audible alert function has not worked for years.

It does beep and is very easy to hear. So far it seems great, I'd recommend it but have only used it for two outings. It does grab the satellites much quicker than my 305 did.

good to know. if i ever decide to invest in a garmin again, the 110 will definitely be my first choice. simple is good. i currently have the 405 and it is anything but simple. blah.

nice run today and enjoy the day off tomorrow. the weather is perfect for golfing.
