Woke up this morning and did not know I was going to race today...let alone a half marathon.

The course was a 2 loop course all on trail  with quite a few hills. I ran the first loop in 56 minutes and finished in 1:57:40. I won my age group and was the 7th overall woman. I was happy with it considering I have never raced it before and I didn't know I was racing.

sometimes a surprise race is the best way to go -- just jump in and don't think about it. :) it looks like you fared very well. congrats on your first half!
