Man what a beast day! This training business is tough in wind/rain/cold. Had an insane tempo this time (insane as in why am I doing this owww) with 25 mins at a solid pace (1:35/1:37-ish per 400). Mostly hurt because of:

a) Running hard

b) Headache

c) Gnarly sickness

Yeah I was wiped OUT. Came home with a really bad fever (103 degrees plus major fatigue) and fell right to sleep. Mom says no shoool or running tomorrow... Sorry fams.

Did weights and morning run today!!

Had a great time on my first legit run after being wiped out with sickness hardcore.

It was pretty fun the desert trails are always the best to run. Was kinda pooped though it was a bit of a bummer. But hey looking to be back at it!

Had a legendary trail run around Mustang Pass! On the way back I so wish I had a camera though! The light hit the crew so awesome from the back and the dust just made us look like such beasts. My legs have been a little tired lately cause of my stupid left knee. Gonna roll mah quads and get this thing back in shape!

Man today was slightly more lame not gonna lie. Around 20 mins in our tempo I hit a WALL. idk waht it was but I'm just going to be more careful with my body. Had an insane adventure run out in the middle of the desert. 70 ish minutes. Was pretty legit not gonna lie. Climbed a mountain and learned about Russian German Shepard Bear Dogs. Also didn't know what bouldering was exactly until this run. Man, learn something erry day.

Couldn't sleep well the night before but man what a legendary race. For my first half marathon, Im pretty stoked. The clock was 15 off so I about flipped my lid when my mom told me that I ran a 01:04:05. Sigh thanks mom. But anyways arrived pretty early in what I think was the first bus w/ Carson. We did some mosh pit dancing stuff to stay warm and not freeze our butts off. Got some weird looks haha. Coach Holt showed up so that was pretty neat! Ugh but I wish so much I could've held the race with those guys! Just have to train harder. Anyways, the start was just some lady counting down... I guess in track season and such I'm expecting a gun but hey whatever. Took off down an industrial road somewhere in Hurricane. Ran around some neighborhoods and flew downhill in Coral Canyon. (TH was Evan doing?) It had warmed up to a gorgeous day by then and Logan caught up to me around the Landfill Rd. Me and him cruised down through hell hole and the whatchamacallit trail with some epic tag teaming. Logan was a big help for me pushing thx dude! The hardest part was the flat road after sullivan. Only thing i was dissatisfied with was this part. Was really tough having a good attitude/pace after logan started to pass me up and the hurt really kicked in. Not really used to holding tempo for such a long time but I think I managed myself well. Picked up aways before Staheli Farm and passed some other dude for a quicker finish. Good job PVXC we literally destroyed that race! Can't wait for next year!!

6:15 AM went to shool for a 25 minute run. Last day before spring breeeeaaak!

When we got out of school, headed home to get some snacks and my epic bluetooth speaker, then drove to SC to yell my face off. Pretty stoked for all those that killed it today!! Tad nervous for the 3200 but hey what the heck. Ugh seeing the track during our racing season always gives me race jitters and makes me wanna run.

Did 50 mins around Snow Canyon Land. Every time I go by myself I flip out and go way faster tho. But I fixed a kids bike this run. Blessings.

Well. This race was something else. I'm not too upset by it but I had quite a few mistakes in this one. I know it's our fisrt race and stuff but I SOOO could've done better. Between sleep and water and diet this week I'm probably a 7/10. And that's about all the effort I gave on this race (which is a big problem). I was overall exhausted and wasn't in the right mindset (heck i even lost track of what lap I was on). This time's gonna improve dramatically. No doubt. PV invite is up next and I'm totally ready

Miles and some Dhills chicks hung with us for a while and the Ghost hunting app did nothing so we were just hiking around the desert for no reason. Purty fun though. After my 15 min warmup I tackled the 3200m! I'm glad I could push hard like I did. (unfortunately no PR..) Just had a solid race all around and can't wait to see my times improve. Pretty grateful it wasn't insanely windy, but still chilly in the morning. Next time I'm gonna have to fight to hold my pace and hopefully not get feeling sick like I did today. Me Nathan and Evan all almost passed out it was great. After that we took off towards the lit canyon I did yesterday! Only me and Nathan climbed the hill to the rest of the canyon though. We had convos about running, training, and other stuffs. Towards the end we crawled through a little tunnel which was purty cool.

Anyways, this run was pretty craaaazy. I held well with the main varsity pack during our tempo and only slipped off a little at the end. Finished not too far behind cause of some gnarly stomach issues. But this was one of my better long runs. I had quite a bit of tiredness and still held on. Probably 100% because I had the worst time falling asleep last night. I need to take some nyquil or something cause it took forever to pass out and even when I did I would wake back up. A real pain... Still stayed awake today and did well though.

Road/Grass run today and I battled sprinklers like a champ. Also, never cut a single corner cause I'm not a noob. (Also, distance might be a little shabby because I'm in the process of recovering my lost watch)

Phew, running today was a challenge. Not an overly exhausting challenge but I could feel it. Today was up in the desert on the big fat gnarly sand hill. K, I was trolled so hard because I thought so many times that I was done. Even when I reached the top of the motha I had to start again down the other side. I thot. It wasn't too bad tho at least I know what it will be like next time. I kind of regret not pushing as hard as I could... my feet were really slow in the sand. I think coach was right about it being a great workout for me because it will halp me have quicker feet (wooo sand hills are just for me). Towards the end I was tired but it was gr8 overall.

Aaaw yeaaah. I kicked ol Sand Hill's butt today. I need quicker feet though. Also, I made a noob mistake and just chilled a lot of the way down... but even after this huge long run I felt amazing. It was awesome. I went zen mode again and didn't feel much pain really. Today was gooood.

Today we met at Vernon Worthen and ran around St. Geezy (Marathon course backwards for some of it). This run I was kind of tired but it wasn't too bad. I've just been thinking a lot about being relaxed in our running. The whole,"Ride the Wave" idea helps me out a lot. Herricun Rim Trail this mornin. I went solo this run and it was actually pretty dang neat. I missed Colton by just a few mins but honestly it felt great to be alone in nature (hippy sounding I know). Like it was different to see how well you do by yourself. People do help a ton but today was just me and the run. I didn't even wear a watch I just checked what time it was before and after. The time ended up being just what I needed. *pauses to think about how cool that was* Mental strength leveled up by 420 points.

Daaaang! This was actually a really fun race. But I was WAY late to it and had to start after everyone... haha... not mentioning names or anything but Ellie totally told me the wrong time of the race. Lol. It was nice of the race peeps tho cause they timed me individually and still let me place. It was a good 1st timer for sure. During it I felt epic. I wasn't at all stressed about racing. It felt awesome to go fast and be comfortable with it. Still gonna get way quicker however. Cooled to about 50 mins total because my fam was doing stuff.

In all honesty, I get real freaked out before racing (especially if I haven't done one in a while...) but after just going for it and having a great time I remembered how much I love it. I have a lot more confidence in my abilities now and I'm flippin stoked for this year. It was cool to see everyone hyped up about the race and our season.

Beast morning run with my fave team eva! It was cool just to go adventure mode and try somewhere new for once haha. The hill workout was solid and a lot of the crew was there. Getting out of this running funk I've been in by just doing my best and most importantly having a good time. It's been pretty easy for me to be hard on myself due to the fact that we get super intense and serious in some of our meetings. It's not a good place to be if you're stressed all the time so I'm just gonna have fun while I still give my all.

Coach literally blew my mind today. I had a little bit of a rough workout that mirrored my race on Wednesday. Like I fought hard and I'm proud of what I did do, but like coach was saying, I needed to embrace running and be more of a part of it (rather than fighting against the essence). This seriously changed my perspective of how I viewed running just in a short amount of time. Mostly because I focus on the pain and how to battle it instead of accepting pain and being part of the amazingness of the sport. I was surprised when the first thing he said was that I needed to relax my form because running is a form and it's beautiful. Grateful for a ultra wise ultra runner for un coache. #harmonious. AM-- This morning was pretty dang rough... tried to eat a snack before practice early in the morning but I ultimately got insane heartburn and had fiery burps the whole time. Oof. PM-- After our legendary speeches we headed out to destroy the softball fields with our feet. The grass felt amazing but my brain currently does not (and here's why). We eventually started to do this game on the field where one person would close their eyes while the runner next to them would tell them where to go. I had my eyes closed and after a while I could run pretty fast while just listening to Dylan (keeping my eyes shut the ENTIRE time). The problem was that Nathan was doing it too and JD (thx noob) didn't steer him right. Our pathes crossed and our heads whacked together with insane force so that I fell on my butt. Moral of the story is this: trust excersices are good; however, don't trust idiots. Second moral of the story: better yet don't be an idiot.
