ound out today that I have 8 broken ribs with multiple fractions on the ribs. I did situp today and take two steps. But I have an epidural in my back for pain. Along with two front pelvic cracks on right and left. I have a spleen and liver cut and the broken femur with a rod in my leg along with a lower femur crack.. I also have a crack in the butt which isn't bad. Tomorrow I get moved out of ICU into a regular

Room for more physical therapy. I will work using a walker and crutches to learn

To walk without bearing weight on the femur.

Long recovery but God is Good ans I could be dead. The ribs will

Be a challenge.

Kory, I was hit by a car in 1993 and broke my Pelvis and bulged my lower disks and broke my knee cap and hemorrhaged both knees. I know exactly the pain you are going through and know you have a long road ahead. Its great you are alive and have the ability to recover! You are a strong person, good luck and God speed my friend!

You continue to be a source of strength to us, through your positive spirit. Please keep us posted. You are never far from my thoughts. I hope your father-in-law is doing better as well.

You are very blessed to be alive after taking a hit like that. Even so, I'm sure your actions after the accident had a far greater impact on the driver of that truck(and those reading about it) than he had on you. God bless you! We can all learn so much from your example.

Kory, I am very late to sending you my prayers. Also, the entry seems cut. What happened? I hope that you continue to recovery quickly. Are you still in SLC? What hospital are you at? Send me a private message if you are at the U hospital and want a visitor...
