Well, I haven't posted for a while because of time factor, and not really that persistent at it.   I have the day-off so I have time today!

Training for anything really isn't going well right now.  A couple weeks ago (April 27) I was tapering for a local 10k (law day race) and I started having a lower back, buttocks pain 8 miles in an 11 mile run (which I limped, or hopped home the last 3 miles in pain).  I contribute the pain from pulling my Honda Law Mower 100 times because I flooded it.  Anyway, I've had sharp pains in my lower back and somewhat in the buttocks/hip area.  I had three Chiropractor appointments last week and that really didn't help, (maybe a little bit).   I also took a break from running for, 4 days and went to the gym and used the Crossramp and Elliptical trainer which doesn't make it hurt.

Finally, I  decided to run this last Saturday, and I was in pain the whole way on the 8 mile torture run.  I tried running again today, and on the 10 mile run (7:54 pace in 1:21) it was extreme pain again in the lower back, hip/buttocks area.  I'm glad God has given me a high tolerance for pain.  It feels like the back/hip is bulging.

The symptoms I seem to be having doing some research come from irritation of the sciatic nerve. It's still a mystery and may also be the piriformis muscle.  I really need to go see a Physical Therapist and see what his opinion is or get an MRI.

I'm current doing some stretches that are suppose to help treat the sciatic nerve.  Who knows, but running right now or waiting to run a fun race is out of the question.

One good this is I got my lawn mower started.  I know you were all in anticipation wanting to know if I did.  I had to take the Spark Plug out because I flooded it and overfilled the gas tank that some got in the Spark Plug area.

Samantha - Did it hurt any other time besides running. Because I really only hurt when I run. I don't have a shooting pain down the leg or numbness either. Just pain in the lower back/hip/buttocks region.
