I ran 7 miles today at a 7:13 pace.  I'm not sore from the Boston Marathon and feel good so tomorrow I will run 10 miles.  It's time now to focus on the Ogden Marathon and not be conservative, but be aggressive and prove that Boston so have been like this.

Boston was too easy of a run for me to come away feeling so good.  I wanted to be so sore, because then I know I really worked.

Kory,

If you come to Ogden we will have to link up and get our 2:45-50 group together. I was thinking about not running Ogden after the last couple of down weeks I have had but if there is a group that wants to run together at 2:45-50 pace I'm game for doing my best to help out.

As far as training between now and then you are fit and just need to maintain what you have. This week should be just easy recovery, no need to push it. From this weekend you have four weeks to Ogden. As such next week run by how you feel. I would increase miles again but not really push too hard. Mostly easy runs at a slow pace. Maybe do some faster repeats later in the week to see how the legs feel and then a MP tempo run on saturday. An idea below, I'm sure you know what is best for your body so just go with what you think will work for you.

23-29 April = 70 miles

(Wed-4x400 with 200 jog then 2 mile tempo then 4x400 with 200 jog again; run 400s at 5K effort and tempo between 10k and 1/2m effort as long as legs feel ok) (Sat-6 to 8 miles at marathon pace, 6:10, 12 miles total with warm-up and cool-down; again only if legs feel up to it)

30 April-6 May = 75 miles

(look at workouts on tue, thu and sat if your are up to it; maybe your yasso 800 workout on tue, a shorter faster tempo on thu and a MP long run on sat of 18 miles with 8-10 at MP; a tougher week but last one before Ogden)

7-13 May and 14-19 May. If you were comfortable with your taper for Boston I would just duplicate those last two weeks leading up to Boston.

Anyway, let me know if you will be at Ogden and we will have to make plans to link up. I know Cody is running so that makes at least the three of us in the 2:45-50 group.
