| A little more sore than I liked at the start after a "rest" week, but I held it together and finished the hardest speed workout of year. It was unbelievable weather, near 60, but cold weather on the way later this week.
6X800m repeats at 2:43, 2:43, 2:44, 2:48, 2:46, and 2:43; 400m really easy run after each repeat.
8 Total Miles, including warm-up and a one-mile walk after Chiefs-Bengals.

AM: JTR morning track practice, 2 miles solo before and 3 miles during workout, which included a 400, 200, and 400 set with 200 rest between each.
PM: JTR afternoon track practice, 3 miles during workout, which included a 400, 200, and 400 set with 200 rest between each.
Total: 11 Total Miles, including 3 miles walking.

| 8 miles on JTR track after school. This included a 4-mile tempo run in 24:29 (6:07), which I moved up to Tuesday (from Thursday), after moving speed work from Monday to Sunday. All of this is an effort to take it relatively easy over the next three days so I can run a 25K trail race that my friend directs on Saturday (weather permitting).
Tempo splits: 6:11, 6:13, 6:12, and 5:53 (without pressing too hard).
11 Total Miles, including 3 miles walking.

| 7 easy miles on Hwy. 300, still running cautiously on thawing ice. Very pretty winter afternoon, and the sun felt nice.
