Personal:

Pride necessarily sprouts and grows; a pride that can only come from relentless kneading of unwilling flesh, painful months of grinding and burning away all that is heavy, all that is strength-sapping and useless to the body as a projectile. --John L. Parker, Jr., runner/author

Not satisfied, but grateful for the experience. I'm particularly thankful for the support of my family, including my crew, Luke and Henry. Along with my pacer, Stan, they brought me back to life at Mile 80 and helped me believe that sub-24 hours - and the sterling silver buckle - were still within reach.

Lots of mixed emotions, here, with a heavy dose of perspective and humility given the collective events and circumstances surrounding the race itself.

You're an inspiration Mr. Hunt. Hope you're feeling ok.

Can only imagine what you are feeling, but very envious of your chance to run this race and pull off sub-24 hours. The crew/friends can really save the day. Hope to get back here some day.

Congrats on the silver buckle! Not an easy race to finish, but very memorable. No hands bridge, the escarpment, Cal street, etc.

Well done, Wesley. That quite an accolade.
