The treamill I used today (my usual and preferred Matrix treadmill was covered up) was really cranky and I couldn't get it off a -3.0 decline.  Because I only had an hour, and every other freaking treadmill was being used, I simply hammered out 9.5 Miles progressing from a 6:30 pace (2 Miles) to a 6:15 pace (2 Miles) to a 6:00 pace (5.5 Miles).  If I had had time, I would have kept going, because the dowhill treadmill running suited me just fine.  I powered through the miles with only a single, short bio/water break after Mile 4.

Wish my gym had tm's with a decline. That could really help prepare you for long downhills such at Boston - where you are essentially on a downward grade for the first half of the race.
