PM: About 7 miles. 2 mi warm up 8 x 2:00 fartlek workout with 2:00 slow jogging in between 2 mi cool down I was feeling a little tight today, especially in the hip flexors. Things loosened up a bit after 3 miles. Question for any of you GPS users... I wear a Garmin and I'm trying to determine how accurate the "calories burned" data is. I want to better monitor my calorie intake to output ratio. Everything I've ever read says that on average you burn about 100 calories per mile. My garmin data says I'm burning between 175-200/mi. Does anyone have any insight as to how accurate the garmin is? The garmin does take into account your age and weight, could this be the reason for the sizable difference? |
