I was born in Lima Peru and have lived in Utah since I was 3.

I'm open to all sports but running helps me relax and just think, as does biking and swimming. I'm currently a freshman at the University of Utah.

Hey, sorry for the hiatus, but my running will contiue to go up along with the weather. I'm currently in Kanab, in southern utah for an service trip. I'll be here until thursday so I plan to take advantage of the climate here and go on some new runs. I ran to plouff? canyon in what I will say 70 degree weather. I ran most of it with my shirt off. The trail was St. George red the entire way. There were a lot of scars on the trails though the water was far gone. For example there was a large ditch going right across the trail that I had to do a pretty long jump to get past, (triple jumping in track came in handy for once.) I was pretty focused on the run there but I couldn't resist looking at the scenery. The trail was litered with rabbits along the way. Total count was 3 cottontail rabbits and 1 jack rabbit. I kept an ear out for coyotes though I'm not sure if there actually are any here. The trail narrowed with the canyon as I ran closer to the end. About 1/4 mile of the way there I came across a creek that wasn't dry and actually had running water. The creek was on it's last bed though as it's waters weakly struggled over the pebbles, it,s width easliy stepd over. I had to cross it at a point and turned a corner and to my surprise I ran right in front of a water fall. It was really peaceful and quite as the starlit sky in a desereted place. All I could hear was the water running down the 20 ft cliff into a little developed pool, the birth of the creek. I turned around since this was the end of the western trail and headed back to the homestead. Along the way I found a cliff with a small tree frimly planted on overlooking what seemed everything. I stopped here to clear my thoughts and meditated for forgotten while. On the way up I scraped my knee on the red rock face that led to a little persistent bleeding. This was before meditating so I completely forgot about it until I got home and took a shower. This will rank as one of the top runs I've done in a while and the current top run of the year. I hope to get more running in as the week progresses.
