Mueller Park Trail. Wet, Wet, Wet. When I started the run it was raining, and it rained the entire time. I got completely soaked. I was hoping that as I got higher in elevation that it would turn to snow, but that was not the case. The trail was soft packed snow for the first two miles, then got a bit sloppy for the next half a mile. At 2.7 miles, all other tracks stopped. I wanted to go to Elephant Rock so I headed on. The next .75 miles to the rock was knee deep snow. At the rock, I turned around and headed back through the snow. Running in knee deep snow in January while getting rained on. Is that dedication or complete insanity? The rain really destroyed the trail. The rest of the run back to the car was a sloppy mess. Despite the weather, I still love that trail. |
