Do another marathon AFTER GOOD TRAINING

 

1/2 marathon in 1:41 or under

 

Break Burt's 5K PR by 1 second

 

10K in 46:00 or under

Keep encouraging my family in their development of a healthy lifestyle

I run with God. I use my running time to contemplate, to pray and to listen for His call. I'm married to a non-runner, but a supportive one, and we have four children.

I did a 1/2 mile warmup, 1 mile at 8:00 pace, and then I hung back to run with one of my runners.  I thought I would help her, but she just wasn't running very fast, so I picked up the pace again after a mile. 

I finished 3 miles in 26 minutes or something like that.  It felt good, but it was WINDY.

3/4 mile warmup, then on the track I did

2 200s (40 seconds each--too fast for what I wanted to do)

1 800 (3:33)

1 400 (1:40)

2 200s (50 seconds each--much better)

1 800 (3:38--slowed a little)

I felt like I was going slow, but I was actually going quite fast for me.  I'm going to be doing a 5K in November and 1 in Dec. and I'd like to try for a consistent 7:15 or 7:30 pace in Dec.

 

Then I did 1.5 mile cool down

I did 2 miles at 8:30 pace.  Then I did a 10 min cool down, a mile or a bit more, but I'll log it as a mile.

I ran some with the girls as they warmed up and then some on the course throughout both races.
