I ran yesterday in my Kinvaras and decided to try the virratas on a longer run today. My hip was a little stiff from yesterday, but after about a half mile, it felt fine. At just over 3 miles, I threw in 10 minutes of as close to 7:30 pace as I could keep it. Then I finished 7.1 miles on my own.

Caleb has been running lately. He wants to be able to run a 5k in the summer. Most days he runs about a mile on the treadmill. This has been on and off since around Christmas, so he hasn't been consistent week over week. I'm thinking that maybe he should blog.

Anyway, he ran a mile on the treadmill and then wanted to run with me. So we ran 1.15 together while Eli rode his bike. The pace was very slow.

I ran sans watch. It was a gorgeous day, was getting a little colder when I got outside. It was nice to wear shorts.

Running this week started off promising, as usual. Then life hit, and I had two unplanned days off from running. Oh well. Sometimes other things are more important. So this run was fine. AP was 8:47. I threw a few faster paced half miles in the mix and then finished the last mile fastish. Nothing was at breakneck pace, and the last mile felt hard.
