It's been above freezing during the day for the last 5 days or so, so the snow's been melting.  I stayed in the streets.  Most of my miles were between 9:10 and 9:20, but the last mile I pushed it again.  Pace for the last 1/4 mile was below 8 min.  I am looking forward to the day that pace feels sustainable for the long haul.

We are supposed to get more snow this week, which is okay with me, but only if the temps are what they were this past week.  If not, I'll probably be complaining again :)

I'll probably post this again, but I need some reading suggestions.  Just finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and I'm waiting till I can check out the next one from the library.  I'll read pretty much anything.  Anybody reading anything good?

I have a Nook and I love that I can check out ebooks from my library

Way to push the pace! Keep it up. You can keep the snow, I will keep the cold. Deal?

Sounds like a plan.

OMG! I just read all three of those! The second is my fav so you are in for a treat! I'll tell you what I thought of the third after you read it.

Okay so I'm reading something I never thought I would--twilight. I actually like it. I"m almost done with it. I see myself reading the series.

I also started Harry Potter. Another I didn't think I would. But a few friends that I regard well read them and had favorable things to say. So far so good.

Wednesday Wars is good.

Are you on Goodreads.com?

Okay so for presidents day. My mom invited me over...soo I told her about you...so I you want to meet up early in the morning then I'm up for meeting you at your moms.

LOVE my nook! Am reading Meb's book, "Run to Overcome: To get an idea of his philosophy: (From his website): "Like the marathon, life can sometimes be difficult, challenging and present obstacles, however if you believe in your dreams and never ever give up, things will turn out for the best.” - Meb

"I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me!" - Phil 4:13

Great run today!

I'm not much of a reader, but my wife liked that Dragon tattoo book too. She's reading The Hunger Games now and really loves it. I think it's a series.

Guessing you are getting slammed with some nice winter weather right now, hope it lets up soon!

April, I love my Nook. It is definitely worth it. I don't have the Nook color, which I hear is even more awesome, but I love mine. Our library has ebooks available, but, for example, I am 71st on the waiting list for the next Steig Larson book. So I just bought it for $5 (yay gift cards!) I'll check out Wednesday Wars. And Harry Potter gets really good after, say, book 3 (when it stops being a kid series and crosses into young adult).

Karen--thanks for the suggestion! Are you reading it as an ebook?

And Joe, don't tell your wife that the first one is awesome and the rest of the series is just so-so. But still, they are quick reads, so it's not a waste or anything. But I would definitely borrow from a friend or the library...

Tracy--I liked the second one the most. The third was my least fav.

I did not know that about the HP books! Good to know!

I am reading it at barnes & Nobles. You can read any book there for free for an hour each day...so, I tend to have mtgs with my runners at B&N and get there a bit early to read!
