Continue running as often as I can, as far as I can, as fast as I can. Teaching my kids (by example) the rewards that come from putting in the work. Very slowly get to 50 states.

Personal:

I'm married, with two sons, 18, and 19.

I started running because someone dared me to.

I ran my first race 3 days after my 40th birthday. (Disney)

7.5 miles easy. Hood route to Legacy Trail. I'm still testing out the Achilles. On Sunday, there was some swelling, so I took a couple of days off, and did some icing, stretching, etc.. Things felt smooth this morning. There was a really cool halo effect around the moon this morning. It was good to be back out there! 54 deg.

Man I hate those achilles I had them on both legs. Ice ice baby any time you have nothing to do ice them. I took full week off running while doing that too.

Sorry I should know better. You never tell a runner to stop running. I know your full is coming up fast just keep the icing going.

I have become a lot more serious about healing my heel up. I will not be running again until Monday. Hopefully. between the ice and the compression, I'll be ready to race next Friday.

Also, by Monday, Matt will have passed me in miles!
