Had a great time running SGM with Kim today. Weather was perfect and the scenery was beautiful as usual. The only downside today was that Kim's knee acted up about half way through and she had to endure a lot of pain and slow things down considerably to take stretch breaks and run/walk to try to prevent a repeat of last year when she ended up fighting a major injury for months after the marathon.

She was a trooper and finished tough. I was proud of her and proud to have been able to be there with her the entire time. So far it appears that our efforts paid off and neither of us will be hobbled with any major injuries this time around.

I've listed the splits below. As you can see we were on track for about a 3:50 BQ finish for Kim before things went south around the mid-way point. Some of these splits are messed up since I did some fast running ahead now and then to fill up water bottles.

9:08, 9:10, 8:35, 8:25, 8:22, 8:07, 8:10, 9:53, 9:02, 9:55, 9:58, 9:28, 8:31, 9:53, 9:51, 8:20, 9:18, 9:10, 9:26, 10:28, 8:47, 8:42, 10:56, 10:20, 11:06, 10:55
