Pouring rain, windy, and chilly today but I got out and did it.

average 7:13pace out

average 6:30 pace on the way back

it was hard to keep any race pace today with the rain and giant puddles and the overall cruddy state of the sidewalks/roads on this route.  I'm not sure why I always seem to take it.  But when i did get into a rhythm, I did feel quite comfortable at this pace.  I'm thinking the race on Saturday I'll start at this pace and go from there after a few.

Ok, what did I miss? Are you doing a shorter race this Saturday?

"I won't take it all out---- probably." Just don't forget to keep your eye on the prize, the big prize for the full mary. :)

oh I know - believe me I don't want to risk anything this weekend that'll spoil my marathon. I've been focused on November 14th for months and months. I'll ease into the first 5 like last year and then then try to pick a bunch of guys off in the last 10. Its how I did it last year and I had plenty of recovery time.

You got alot of speedsters down in your neck of the woods. How did you do last year time wise?

From timp on Wed, Oct 28, 2009 at 14:49:39 from 129.188.33.26

last year the winner was in 1:37ish, 6:30 pace. I rolled in with a 6:48 ave pace, 1:42ish.

One of these races that will change. It is just a matter of when. It is all a matter of who shows up that day.
