So when you say you ran a consistent pace on the hills, did you push harder uphill to maintain the same pace and then take it easy downhill, or was your average mile pace just the same after all was done?

I'm sure I slow down on them but I didn't slow down on them any more than I would have if i had hit them in the beginning of my route (if that makes any sense). The 4 grinders in the last 4 miles take a lot more mental effort when I'm tired, which is why I run this route a lot in training.
