Went out at 10AM.  My left lower leg was hurting a bit yesterday on my run.  It is the muscle on the inside below the knee kind of underneath the tibia.  Not sure what the deal is other than old shoes making things hurt.  I woke up at 3 AM and ordered some.  I can't wait for them to come in.

Anyway it was a little sore for most of the run but nothing that wasn't managable.  And towards the end I didn't feel it anymore.  I guess adrenaline took over or something.  But it was a pretty comforable run over some hilly roads in the Druid Hills neighborhood.

Maybe the pasta dinner last night helped with the energy level today...

Nice run, Tim. What shoes did you order? Trying something new?

yeah I ordered the mizuno wave inspire this time. It is step down on the motion control versus the Wave Alchemys that I have worn quite a bit in the past. I just don't think I need as much shoe anymore.

I hope the new shoes help the pain go away.

Hey Tim ... I didn't know you were on here!!

Maybe you should try some myo-fascia release on that area. Just dig down deep and rub down it. I know that that is a common place for Compartmental Syndrome.

Glad to know you are on the blog.

Tim,

I think the Mizuno Inspire is a better choice for you as far as stability. The Alchemy is too much motion control; and better suited for bigger runner. I really like my Inspire trainer. What upcoming races have you signed up?

Teena - I'll have to try that. It hurts to rub though, and I'm a wuss. :)

Smooth, I hope you are right about the shoes. I also think that the alchemy's were way too much shoe for me. I have flat feet so they usually steer me towards motion control.

I thought I was signed up for a 32 miler on June 7th, but I looked and don't see myself on the entry list (and it is full). Not sure what to make of that. SHould hear back from the RD today about it though. Other than that, track nights start tomorrow and run through June. It'll be a good way to get some speedwork in, if I can get away Tuesday nights for a whole month.
