I needed that.  While I didn’t shatter any records on this run, it was a good confidence boost after a tough week or so.  The workout consisted of a 1 ½ mile warm up then 5 x 2,000 meters on a gravel trail that had a number of twists and turns.  I started out conservatively as I wanted to get 5 repeats in.  I tried to pick it up at the end, but the legs were tired.  My calves also got a little tight as I decided in my infinite wisdom that I should wear my vibram five fingers ;o).  Ok enough of the excuses, here are the splits: 8:02, 7:56,7:49, 7:49 & 7:43.  After that I jogged home to complete the evenings work.
