12 miles with Ry in the late afternoon on the JRP, AP 8:28.

It was so stinkin' hot (80 ĚŠ). That is the problem about having class start at 7:00 a.m. It is so hard to run anything more than an hour or so in the morning and still have time to shower, get ready and drive there. Whine whine whine, I such a cry baby! :)

This run was hard for me. I felt dizzy and weak throughout.

Going to take tomorrow off and then try and pace Sophia for the first 2 miles of the XTERRA 5K on Sunday. That is if my calf will behave. :)

Good luck to Sophia tomorrow. Such a good mom.

How did Sophia do in the 5K? I bet that was a great race for her!

So PT genius, I was wondering if you could take a look at my post from today and see if you have any ideas. I could make a great case study :)

I checked to see how Sophia did on the Xterra 5k and saw she killed a different one! That was awesome! One of the few race reports I've had my wife read. :)

Teena, you've made it to your taper! Maybe that is just what the doctor ordered to get your calf better before SGM. I like how you put everything down that helps or hurts your calf for future reference. Have you tried anything with deep heating?

Thanks Dale!!! :)

Aimee- Just saw what you have been dealing with. So so so sorry. Looks like you are flared up pretty badly. I wouldn't worry too much about trying to figure out exactly what is wrong until things settle a bit and centralize. Otherwise you may be headed for a crazy goose chase! My initial fear is pelvis stress fracture. BUT that is only because you are in so much pain everywhere! I really have NO idea without examining you and while there is so much flared up right now. Does your PT have any new theories? Once again, so sorry that you are dealing with this. :(

Matt- Sophia is in beast-mode right now!!! I will have her come update her blog as soon as I finish up. :)

Rhett-

I wouldn't necessarily say that I made it here very well though! :) How was Hawaii??? SO JEALOUS!!! Heat is a weird thing for me. I have tried it but not faithfully. External deep heat sometimes makes it feel better for a minute but it doesn't last, but I haven't really done it faithfully either. The active heating of the muscle, however, like what happens with exercise, seems to be beneficial for many many hours. But then the next morning it is painful again. I think I have a general idea of what is going on but am not wanting to give it the 3-4 weeks it needs to really heal because I want to run SGM because Ryan is. You know? Still deciding what to do. :)
