I finished a long stretch of work leaving me no time to run- well that is not accurate. Rather little motivation to run. However, this morning was not aligned with the stars, but it worked out. I was supposed to meet with a running group at 6am. My alarm clock said 5:45 so I got ready and headed out the door 10 mins later. I looked at my watch and it read 6:30. It turns out my alarm clock was wrong so missed that run. So I planned on my own route- but before I got anywhere, I had a stomach ache from Hades. That delayed me another 20 minutes...so with time ticking I headed out the door hunched over but still running. 8 ( slightly hunched) miles total. Nostalgic. It reminded me of my college running days when I delivered my daughter via c-section my Junior year. I felt so much pressure to get out and run again to earn my scholarship back that I began hunched running 9 days postpartum and tore most of my stitches. I was dumb back then. Today no stitches were torn, but likely not any smarter:) Happy cold running! |
