Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

I got my booty out the door today and ran 5 miles on the treadmill. I could have done more if I didn't have such horrible ADD. I got so bored, I couldn't stand it any longer so I pushed the pace and finished. Afterwards did 10 mins of climbing on the Arc Glider, but you would believe that I also got bored of that too:) I've got to run outside tomorrow, I can't do the treadmill again. All of you TM runners, I look up to you.

After the gym I went to the grocery store to get slightly violated by some guy. He stopped to talk to me about running (cause I had running clothes on?) Then preceded to touch me on my theigh, knee, arm, shoulder, hand (about a billion times), and almost my upper chestal area before I ducked away from him. No lie. I don't think he noticed me backing away with each gester, cause he came in closer each time and blocked me from escaping. Anyway, he talked about all the running and tri's he's done. At one point I thought it was a joke so I started to laugh during the middle of some story about a running injury he sustained. He stopped and inched closer to my face and said, "look at me in the eye and don't laugh again." Huh? I was sort of shocked and confused. Ugh. I left unimpressed and slightly nauseous. My daughter started talking about the weird man in the car and my daughter said, "Mom, I think he belongs in that hospital you work at (aka psych unit)." Mmmmmm hummmm. So that made the day fun:) lol.

 Quality run tomorrow, I hope.

Holy crud, what a freak! I think I would have laughed harder and gotten myself in trouble! WEIRDO!

Honestly, the TM is not that bad. you just have to mix it up a little to keep yourself awake! ;o)

Holy crud. Even I'm not that creepy. Wait, I'm not creepy at all.

From James on Wed, Dec 07, 2011 at 23:20:02 from 71.213.52.168

I am still not laughing. Why was he touching you?! That is beyond creeper, it is actually scary. You should have given that weirdy a super hard high knee in a low place and called your husband to come take care of the rest of him.

From Tara on Wed, Dec 07, 2011 at 23:48:32 from 75.169.155.162

LoL James. Did you mean have my husband come "take care of the rest of him" Urologically speaking? Or come take care of the rest of him violently speaking? Either way, that fits well:) He'll get a good laugh when I tell him.

Burt- That pic you posted of me was half way creepy, and I like that kind of creepy.

Kelli- Holy crud is right!

I forgot some of the best parts, he quoted some scriptures to me after he asked if I was LDS. Then tried to guess my weight and age. Kudos to him though, he guessed my weight spot on except he cheated, he touched;)

UGHHH!!!! He is psycho in a not good way!

Hey, at Squaw Peak some guy guessed my age. 50 something, I can not remember exactly. Thanks goodness he did not attempt my weight, i would have crawled in to a hole!

Tara. Havent set any concrete plans for races. I know pretty sad to run all those miles with no goals. I really want to travel to a race just to run in a different part of the country. Still dreaming about Boston.

Geez, Tara. Where do you grocery shop? That's horrifying.

From Rye on Thu, Dec 08, 2011 at 13:12:11 from 75.174.11.34

Tara... may need to get a cancealed license!

From Rye on Thu, Dec 08, 2011 at 13:16:00 from 75.174.11.34

Lets try that one again..... You may need to get a concealed weapon license.

From Tara on Thu, Dec 08, 2011 at 15:16:33 from 75.169.148.25

Kam-Near you neck of the woods...

Sheridan- You always have a goal for general fitness and work fitness requirements, races are just a plus. You are Boston bound and ready.

Rye- I drive the struggle bus too. Burt makes me cray with his alter ego- Mr. grammar police. I am never safe. At first I thought you were referencing my professional license, to cancel it:)Ha.

From Burt on Thu, Dec 08, 2011 at 15:19:16 from 174.255.241.216

Cray?

From Tara on Thu, Dec 08, 2011 at 15:24:55 from 75.169.148.25

Burt- You are lucky you live far away. I too can be "cray!"- that's short for CRAZZZZY. Ha ha ha ha ha ha (of course in a very creepy voice!) Besides, if it does't underline in red, it's a word and not getting changed.

I am just glad you are okay!! seriously not RIGHT!! about a month ago I was in the running store 26.2 when a guy came in talking random thoughts and moving fast around the store carrying a noose in his hands. The young store clerk was very calm and so was I. I got up slowly off the chair having put my running shoes back on and moved across to the other side of the store. I kept my hand on my cell phone ready to dial 911 if he pulled his noose on the clerk...with quiet prayers he left speaking jibberish about mormons. The clerk and I talked about it for a bit. He said he had his hand on his cell phone too!! my husband was outside waiting for me in the car and saw the guy leave and wondered??? maybe I should go in there and make sure he didn't go in there and massacre the place. He thought the guy looked crazy when he saw him enter the store. I was like Thanks Hun for saving us!!

From Tara on Sun, Dec 11, 2011 at 19:57:01 from 75.169.144.128

Wow Julie. That is really bizarre. That would freak me out. I could see myself doing something impulsive like tackling him out of no where, only to find out he was carrying some shoe laces for some shoes. It sounds like this guy was the real deal however. Sheesh!
