Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

Tara, I would hold of on UV. You should give yourself the next couple months to get a solid base, and then really kill it for a fall marathon. I don't know if the 8 weeks remaining is enough...

However, if you do sign up, you may have me tagging along, depending on Boston results.

Sign up now for UVU! Good splits today.

I thought I got an email about a week ago saying UVM was already sold out. Considering your times, though - hopefully they would still let you in.

UV would do well to PAY Tara to show up. She brings a lot of cred and mojo to a marathon.

Kam- Yes, my base is weak. Thanks for reminding me:) No you are right...I am going to assume it is full and not bother...I have other plans to race this summer.

James- I will be there to cheer you and Christi on...and also sign my daughter up for their kid run. Win win.

Jake K- You are likely right, I thought I was able to register last night becuase it let me go through the entire process up until I submitted. It is a relief to have it full actually:)

You stinker! I wanted you to run it too! You should call the race director Hyrum oaks-I bet he would make an exception and let u in even though it is full.

From Tara on Thu, Apr 05, 2012 at 20:24:58 from 75.169.137.123

Well Christi, I felt pressure and I did promise you, sort of. I sent an email. I felt dumb doing it though.

Uh Hi, I think I may have a fast marathon time coming up and I think I have potential. Let me in your race to find out. You may or may not be sorry. I'm sure that's how it read:)

I basically asked if they have any open spots for those competing in the overall women's category. I'm sure I'll get a nice response of...I'm sure you are special like everyone else. Better luck next year. Ha ha hah ha.
