Recovering from micro-fracture surgery on my right knee.  I tore the cartilage off of my knee while doing a speed-training run one month before Boston.  Doc gave me a cortisone shot so that I was able to finish Boston.  After the surgery, I was told to never run again. :(

Ran Boston on April 14, 2012!

"In truth, runners don't race other runners.  They race against themselves: to conquer their wills, to transcend their weaknesses, to beat back their nightmares.  And while a runner can't actually beat himself, he can beat his time. Even years into running, he can get better." Running for His Life by Michael Hall

Ran to Bells Canyon Trailhead and up the trail and a quarter way around the lake and back.  The runoff is still high so unless I wanted to go swimming in glacier water I had to turn around. Sooo humid today.  I was dripping with sweat! This is not like me and not like SL weather....what is the deal?

Off for the Ballet West dance drop off and then swim lessons and to exercise James into vomiting today! :) Yee hoooo!  Fun day ahead!!!

If you're not vomiting, you're not trying hard enough! Nice miles in the heat.

Sounds like me sweating in central Texas! Now add about 20 degrees and you'll feel like you're here. Oh yeah, take away all the trees cause there's no shade on the roads in tx.

I read your post from yesterday and I don't know how you mothers do it all...! Yall are amazing!!!

Don't fret about your race coming up. You know you can do the miles..."Just Run"...!!! You don't have to PR every time you race :-)

My husband's quote exactly! he thinks if you do not puke at the end of a 5k you were not giving it everything you had! Men. If I am anywhere near puke, i stop and rest.

Busy mom!!! Nice that you got in a beautiful run with all of that other stuff.
