Personal:

I currently run for Wofford College in South Carolina, where I double major in biology and Spanish. I will be spending 5 months studying abroad in Chile in 2017. I love cookie dough a little too much and spend most of my free time outside or asleep (or both). Living & running to know Christ and to make Him known!

Jeeze I haven't posted in so long.....I'm really bummed about how I've fallen out of the habit of logging my runs. I think it's in part because I've somewhat fallen out of love with running. As an update, I'll go ahead and say this semester has been a disaster for me running-wise. I had a terrible cross season, starting slow & getting slower every race. After our post-XC break as we transitioned to indoor, I jumped into things a little too quickly and somehow managed to injur my foot. I don't know yet what's wrong, but our trainer is worried its a stress fracture. We'll see, but fingers crossed its nothing major.

All this to say, I'm not running right now. I'm biking though, and actually enjoying that a lot. I hope my time off will give me some perspective on the semester and on my running career.

Sorry about the running issues. With all your business in life, it is a tough balance when school, team, friends, etc. all compete for your time, passion, focus. All this is likely an opportunity for a break and refresh moment. Be gracious with yourself. Remember, you are more than a runner and/or a time on a clock. For me, it is a never ending reassessment of priorities amongst my "6 F's": Faith, Family, Friends, Fitness, Function, Fun. The balance is never even and often time one of them try to take too big a chunk of my life. For me, prayer and time asking for His plan for me is my only way through the tough times.
