Run happy and healthy all the days of my life. Be an example and inspiration to my family.

Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

Morning:  Ran with Wendy down 3rd West to Frontage to 900 N, back up on 1200E for a BIG hilly loop.  It felt so good to be running with my best friend on a beautiful Fall day.

Afternoon:  Why do people call it babySITTING when there's NO sitting involved.  I tended, actually CHASED little Devin for 4.5 hrs.  That cute little bugger wore me out!  It was well worth the yummy gordidas Olga made us though.

Evening:  Went to Unit Commissioner Training.  These men in uniforms are so dedicated.  I am SOOOOO tired!  Will do some yoga before going to bed.  Hope I'm not catching what Steven and hubby has.  Hubby worked from home so he wouldn't spread the germs at work.

Smoothie, I sure hope you don't get sick. Amy keeps getting worse every day. I'm about ready to take her to the ER.

Dale ~ I'm sorry Amy keeps getting worse. Steven has had a real bad cough, sore throat, congestion and headache for 3 weeks. I took him to the doc last week and he said it's not flu. We started him on antibiotics b/c the bad cold has turned into pneumonia.

Hubby has the same symptoms and we hope he doesn't develop pneumonia. I put him on Mucinex-DM, that seems to help.

Has Amy seen the doc.? Is she on any meds? Please take good care! Wish there's something I can do to help.

Rachel ~ I hope I don't get sick. But I'm feeling something coming on, a headache and general achyness. I think I will go to bed early after I do some yoga then take an extra dose of EmergenC and sleep in tomorrow!
