Run happy and healthy all the days of my life. Be an example and inspiration to my family.

Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

Temp was already 69 at 6am.  Gonna be a scorcher.  Was nice to run with Karen and Carolyn and beat the sun coming over the mountains and the kids getting on school bus!

3 circuits of CSE.  Rolled and massaged lower calf muscles.

The roofers were supposed to come on Monday.  They still haven't come.  So glad there's no rain in the forecast for that reason.

I am desperately in need of lodging for Friday night (9/16) in Logan for TOU.  The hotels I looked are filled!   Help!!!!

My house said 59 degrees at 6am. Weird that there would be that much difference.

From RAD on Wed, Aug 24, 2011 at 16:07:03 from 76.27.16.189

Glad you are feeling better and that the mileage is coming along well. Keep rolling those calves out!

From Smooth on Wed, Aug 24, 2011 at 16:08:20 from 75.162.91.253

That's what the marquee at the credit union says. Yesterday it was 66 at 6:30am. I bet it's cooler down by the river though.

From Smooth on Wed, Aug 24, 2011 at 16:13:32 from 75.162.91.253

Rach ~ I never had issue at that area of the calves before. So, I will keep rolling and stretching them. I am sure they will be fine by Poky!

From Bec on Wed, Aug 24, 2011 at 16:33:36 from 71.199.9.12

I am glad that you are feeling better. I didn't really like the sound of your cough on Saturday.

From Smooth on Wed, Aug 24, 2011 at 16:51:49 from 75.162.91.253

Bec ~ Karen and Carolyn made sure I take my inhaler. This morning I didn't and they ran me home to take it. They didn't want to have to do CPR in case I had an asthma attack.

Yes, the cough is better now. But poor Prez. got it. He's hecking up a storm!

How ya doing? Going over to your blog now!

I wish I had somewhere for you to stay!! Dang. TOU (1/2 and full) are getting so popular, you have to book a year in advance like for St George! I lucked out for the 1/2 and had a friend who needed to get rid of her hotel. I had not even thought about it...and it was too late!

Glad you are feeling better! Sorry Larry is sick, I do not want what is going around in Utah County!

My parents live in Logan across the street from the temple. Their home is quite large with a large guest room. They would love to have you over. Seriously.

From Smooth on Thu, Aug 25, 2011 at 14:35:51 from 75.162.91.253

Kelli ~ There's some nasty stuff going around. He's been coughing up icky thicky gunky stuff.

Matt ~ THANK YOU so much for offering your parents' guest room. SUPER NICE of you! I am going to keep trying to find a hotel room though.

How was your back-packing trip? Are you going to run TOU?

From Kelli on Thu, Aug 25, 2011 at 15:56:14 from 71.219.67.82

Poor Larry! But I am sure you are taking good care of him!
