32F.  8:08/mile.  My legs were a lot more responsive than they have been 2 days after my last two long MP runs.  Definite improvement in recovery, felt pretty good today but kept it in the 8's to play it safe and make sure I'm soaking up the benefits of Sunday's run.

Glad to hear your legs are better. I bet in the next few days you'll start to feel great and ready for the race!

Your Christmas run was incredible!! You are so ready for this race, I am excited for you. If you can complete that grueling workout, you can do a 3:05. For crying out loud, I could not do that workout and I got a 3:06.

The stars all better align, you are so due for the PERFECT race!!!!

I ditto Kelli. The stars never seem to line up

for me. Let me know what the secret is!

IJR - yeah these 3 weeks are likely to go by slowly.

Kelli - I need some of your race day magic. Actually I need your crazy-good endurance more. Send me both.

Rye - I'd heard child sacrifice worked, but so far not for me. I used to have as many kids as you!

Getting excited for Houston! Have you started obsessing over the weather yet?

From SlowJoe on Tue, Dec 27, 2011 at 22:06:37 from 74.195.74.62

I can't yet. Accuweather will have something once we're 2 weeks out, then I will start. Although Accuweather also said it would be 45 degrees for Houston last year when we were 2 weeks out. We know how that worked out.

You need some of April's sub-3 race day magic!!! I had one good marathon (2010) and it was sweet! I had a few icky moments (with the heat) but otherwise felt great. This year, although a slight PR, it did not feel great or even remotely good. Hopefully one of the 4 next year will because I am going to retire at 39.

You are due! But, I am gonna stop talking about so I do not jinx it. ;o)
