64F, S 19-27 mph.  Normally I do the LR on Sunday, but offered to take the windy day this weekend so Danielle could have some calmer weather (tomorrow) for her 18-miler.

Overall, 7:51/mile.  The direct headwind legs were about 8:40 pace, and I had to push a little to get that, so pretty nasty wind.

Joe, this is a really impressive week you just logged. I hope we can get together when you are in town. I'd like to try for 18 or 20 at 7:45 to 7:50, but don't know if a slow pace like that fits into your training plans or not.

Nice run Joe, and you are such a gentleman.

Flat - I can definitely make that work, I was looking to do 20 this next weekend anyway. Maybe Saturday?

DH - thanks, I do my best...sometimes

Great run ... you have been battling a lot of wind lately ... is that typical for winter months?

I am sure Danielle appreciates that ... and you made the right choice! Even if you were questioning it running a 8:40 into the wind! lol

Great run in the wind. You are nice to let your sweetie have the better weather!

Overall 7:50 for 16 is FAST-Joe!

Nice run Joe- and way to take the one for the team (the wind)

From SlowJoe on Sun, Nov 20, 2011 at 10:00:02 from 75.109.104.60

JG - the wind starts picking up around Sep/Oct, and gets stronger (on average) until it peaks in Mar/Apr. By June it has died down. I think that's true from here in the southern plains (N TX)all the way up to South Dakota, just a windy part of the country.

S8/Dan - thanks!
