71F, 88%.  7:50 AP.  They harvested a big cotton field on my route between today and last weekend.  Whatever machinery they use must take the whole shrub, because all that was left were little sticks poking up from the ground.  Just thought everyone would want to know that.

Quite interesting actually. I've never seen cotton on the plant.

Really solid week. A big one.

Good to know.Great mileage week for you!

You do know that some younger folks think cotton grows on shelves at Kmart and Target! And they believe it because Obama said so in one of his speeches!

Hey SJ, are you ready for the Chosen 1/2?

Those are some really challenging Long Term Running Goals you've got listed there! Have you accomplished any of them. I certainly don't see me doing any of them except in my wildest dreams!!!

I looked it up and, mostly just in TX, they use a cotton "stripper" picker which also removes most of the plant too. Who knew...

Tom - I'm ready! Of the 3, I'm closest to the 1:19:59 goal but it would take a perfect race to get there this year.

Solid week. Good information about cotton. I'll return the favor sometime and educate you on harvesting potatoes.....
